WHAT ARE GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES?

Good Agricultural Practices are “practices that address environmental, economic and social sustainability for on-farm processes, and result in safe and quality food and non-food agricultural products” (FAO, 2003). In other words, GAP are a set of principles, standards and technical recommendations that contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture, ensuring food safety, product quality, environmental care and protection of the operator’s health and wellness.

WHY NO-TILL PLANTING SYSTEM?

We are devoted to the conservation of our main resource: the soil. Therefore, we are members of Aapresid, pioneering in the implementation and dissemination of no-till in our region.
This practice results in a decreased soil erosion and carbon emision, improving the physic, chemical and biological health of the soil.
